Rebecca Ward brings to Tealeaf a wealth of experience in managing and growing technology businesses. Rebecca joined Tealeaf as CEO in 2004 after serving as entrepreneur in residence at Foundation Capital. Previously, Rebecca served as group president of engineering, marketing, and product development at Digex. Prior to joining Digex, Rebecca worked for BBN/GTE Internetworking, where she held the position of vice president of product management and engineering. Rebecca began her career with Xerox.
Rebecca holds a bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology from Northeastern University, a Master of Computer Science from Boston University, and is a graduate of the MIT Sloan School of Management Executive Business Management Program.
Robert Wenig founded Tealeaf Technology with a vision of revolutionizing insight into the interplay between Web applications and end users. He is responsible for driving the technology vision of the company. Robert first conceived the vision for Tealeaf within SAP Labs, where he served as Director of Advanced Technology, reporting directly to SAP Chairman, Hasso Plattner. Realizing that the value could reach far beyond the SAP market, Robert initiated and achieved the first-ever SAP spin-off. While developing Tealeaf's core technology, Robert won two Smithsonian Awards for Innovation.
Well known and highly regarded among the SAP development community, Robert created and executed SAP's Internet strategy and delivered SAP Employee Self Service (ESS), generating over three million Internet users for SAP. He also created the SAP TechEd Conference - the largest non-Microsoft developer conference. Prior to SAP, Robert was Director of Development at AutoDesk, where he created and sustained the top three revenue products, AutoCAD 386, AutoCAD for Windows, and AutoCAD LT. Robert began his career as a Developer at Wang, where he was awarded patents for image storage algorithms. Robert holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and an Executive MBA from the University of San Francisco McLaren Graduate School of Management. Robert maintains the position of Fellow at SAP.
Ira joined Tealeaf in June 2008 and brings over 18 years of enterprise software sales experience to Tealeaf. Most recently, Ira served as Senior Vice President of World Wide Sales for the Business Interaction Division of BEA Systems. Ira joined BEA from Plumtree Software (the company was acquired by BEA in October 2005), where he served as Vice President of World Wide Sales. After leading the integration efforts for both Plumtree and Fuego Software sales organizations into BEA, Ira guided growth of BEA's license revenue from approximately $30M in 2005 to $80M by 2008. Ira also served as Vice President of North American Sales for Consumer Industrial Markets and, prior to that VP of Sales for North America for High Tech, at BearingPoint Consulting for 8 years. Ira holds an MBA from San Francisco State and a BA from University of California, Santa Barbara.
Dave has joined the management team at Tealeaf, chartered with the development and implementation of strategies for corporate growth, including distribution partnerships, strategic alliances, and mergers & acquisitions. Most recently, Dave was Executive Vice President of Bycast Inc., a leader in storage virtualization and large-scale distributed object storage which was acquired by NetApp in June 2010. Prior to Bycast, Dave was President & CEO of LivePage Corporation, a web content management startup later acquired by Janna Systems (CRM supplier to Wall Street), where Dave became Executive VP of Sales and Marketing. Ultimately Janna was acquired by Siebel Systems, where Dave became VP&GM responsible for Siebel's business in the Institutional Finance market. Earlier, Dave was VP of Sales & Marketing at WATCOM systems, an industry leader in software development tools and SQL database products. WATCOM was acquired by Sybase, Inc., where Dave held senior management positions including VP&GM of the Workplace Database Division, which defined and dominated the market for small footprint database systems with Sybase SQLAnywhere.
Dave holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Masters in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, and received the 2003 JW Graham Medal in Computer Science and Innovation from the University of Waterloo.
Geoff is responsible for overseeing marketing and evangelizing Customer Experience Management at Tealeaf. Geoff joined Tealeaf in 2002 after serving as Vice President of Marketing & Product Management at Tumbleweed Communications, evangelizing the use of the Internet as a channel for secure messaging & communications. Prior to Tumbleweed, Geoff was Vice President of Marketing at Luminate Corporation. In that role, he was a key member of the management team that introduced the concept of the Management Service Provider for Web-based application management. Geoff also served six years at Mercury Interactive in a variety of marketing management roles, culminating as Vice President of Corporate Marketing, and was instrumental in Mercury Interactive developing brand awareness and establishing the markets for application testing and application performance management.
Geoff also spent seven years with pioneering laptop computer company GRiD Systems Corporation where he served in a range of marketing and marketing management roles.
John Dawes brings over twenty years experience in defining and delivering enterprise software products. John joined Tealeaf in 2004 after leading product teams at Netscape, Adobe, Microsoft and a number of software startups. John also has extensive ecommerce experience from managing a large automotive e-commerce site while at Greenlight (acquired by carsdirect) and Netscape's web and application server product line.
John holds a bachelor's degree from Dartmouth and a Masters in Computer Science from Stanford University.
Sparky brings to Tealeaf more than 20 years of business and management experience in creating and growing successful organizations. Prior to Tealeaf, Sparky was VP of Client Management for Ask Jeeves' Business Solutions, where he was responsible for 80 global corporate clients and built a client relations organization that generated $24 million in revenue. Before joining Ask Jeeves, Sparky was the Director of Consumer Relations at Iomega Corporation, where he managed a $35 million business unit and 100 employees. Sparky also has nine years of experience at Arthur Anderson Business Consulting, where he helped build the San Francisco and Charlotte consulting practices and managed large-scale client consulting engagements for clients such as Amdahl, Applied Materials, Cisco Systems, Guilford Mills, Iomega, Sara Lee, and Sun Microsystems. He holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Michael Mayne joined Tealeaf in 2000 and was instrumental in setting a solid financial foundation for the company. He has a strong track record in maximizing stockholder value in technology companies. Prior to Tealeaf he focused on assisting high-tech start-up and early-stage companies create effective organization structures and systems. Michael is a veteran in preparing offering memoranda and business plans. As CFO and Senior Vice President of Finance for such companies as Island Graphics Corporation, peers recognize Michael for his integrity and ability to communicate with excellent credibility at all levels.

Andy brings over twenty years' experience working as an attorney at a leading law firm and then as in-house counsel for both private and publicly held technology companies in Silicon Valley. Andy's background has focused on technology licensing, commercial transactions and securities compliance. He joined Tealeaf from Calient Networks, where he was Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary and part of the management team that completed a recapitalization and re-start of the optical networking company. Previously, Andy led the legal and contracts departments at Legato Systems (now part of EMC) and helped expand the enterprise software company through numerous acquisitions. Andy also spent three years at Red Brick Systems, a data warehousing company, which he helped through a successful IPO.
Before going in-house, Andy practiced corporate law at Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison, concentrating on venture capital financing for high-tech and emerging growth companies. He holds a bachelor's degree from Brown University and a J.D. and M.B.A. from The University of Pennsylvania Law School and The Wharton School.

Jayaram Bhat has been the CEO of Zenprise since January 2004. Jayaram has more than 23 years of marketing experience in high technology companies. Prior to Zenprise, Jayaram consulted with CEOs of information technology companies in developing and managing the execution of breakthrough business strategies as well as helping to raise venture funding. Recent clients include VA Software (Nasdaq: LNUX), Euclid, and CenterRun Software.
Between 1993 and 2001 Jayaram was the Vice President of Marketing of Mercury Interactive Corporation. As a member of Mercury Interactive's executive team, Jayaram helped lead the company from a pre-IPO stage with $13 million annual revenues to a dominant enterprise infrastructure software powerhouse with $361 million revenues in 2001 and a 60%+ market share with a market capitalization of over $6 billion.
Prior to Mercury Interactive, Jayaram served in various marketing and sales management positions at Cadence Design Systems, EDA Systems, and Daisy Systems. He started his career in 1980 at Intel as the product manager of the Intel 286 processor. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a M.S. in Operations Research from universities in India and an MBA from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Jayaram also serves on the Board of Electric Cloud, a software build infrastructure company.
Alfred is the founder of Kryptonite, an early stage software company focused on building the next generation of business applications. Alfred was one of the three founders of BEA Systems and was named CEO in October 2001. In August 2002, in addition to CEO, Mr. Chuang became BEA's chairman of the board where he remained until BEA was acquired by Oracle, in 2008. During his tenure at BEA he managed just about every aspect of company serving as chief technology officer, executive vice president of product development, president of BEA WebXpress, president of business operations, and president and chief operating officer.
Mr. Chuang received a B.S. in computer science from the University of San Francisco and a master's degree in computer science with specialization in distributed data management from the University of California, Davis.
In creating Foundation Capital in 1995, Bill was merely continuing his long history of building strong organizations from the inside. In addition to Tealeaf, Bill currently serves on the board of directors for Commerce One, Onyx Software, Wind River Systems, Atheros Communications, gForce Systems, Packet Design, Qstrategies, Shoreline Communications, and Wherenet. Prior to Foundation Capital, Bill was a General Partner at Inman & Bowman for eight years, and before that, he worked as the president of Visual Engineering, a graphics software supplier, and in a variety of key marketing management roles at Hewlett-Packard.
As director and past president of the Western Association for Venture Capitalists, and in his role as a director of the National Venture Capital Association, Bill is actively involved in defining, serving and representing the interests of the venture capital and private equity industries.
In addition to an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, Bill holds a BSEE and MSEE from Purdue University.
Atul is Managing General Partner at Bay. Atul's investment experience includes early stage investments in Lightlogic (acquired by Intel), Amber Networks (acquired by Nokia), Auroranetics (acquired by Cisco) and Afara Web Systems (acquired by Sun ). Prior to Bay, Atul served as President and CEO of Maple.He also served in sales and marketing leadership roles at Cadence and Arcsys (IPO: ARCS). Atul acquired hands-on hardware engineering experience in the microprocessor team at Sun Microsystems. He began his career as a Research Associate at the Harvard/MIT Interdisciplinary Biomedical Engineering program. Atul holds a B.E. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Bombay, an M.S.E.E. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a M.B.A., from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business.
Bob is the CEO of Pixazza, a web service that converts static images into interactive content. Prior to joining Pixazza in 2008, Bob led early stage investments as a general partner of two top-tier venture capital firms: Matrix Partners (2001-2008) and Crosspoint Venture Partners (1999-2001). His current and former board seats include Access360 (acquired by IBM), Consera (acquired by HP), eHealth.com (NASDAQ: EHTH), PostPath (acquired by Cisco), Tealeaf (private), and Xign (acquired by JPMorgan).
Prior to working as a venture capitalist, Bob spent his career as an operating executive at a number of software and Internet companies. Bob joined Netscape Communications in 1995 and served as senior vice president and general manager of its browser division. He led Netscape's famous "browser wars," while managing all engineering and product management for browsers, email clients, and HTML editors that garnered 100 million users and pioneered the widespread consumer adoption of the Internet.
In 1998 Bob embraced open source and launched mozilla.org, which represented the first time a major commercial software company adopted an open source strategy. Today Mozilla continues to enjoy considerable success with its Firefox browser. Bob currently serves on the board of directors of the Mozilla Foundation.
Prior to Netscape, Bob was vice president of marketing at Collabra, whose online collaboration software won numerous industry awards. While at Apple Computer's Claris subsidiary, Bob launched and directed the ClarisWorks product line. In the 1980s, he worked as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs, advising Silicon Valley technology companies on IPOs and mergers and acquisitions.
Bob attended Stanford University, where he earned MBA, MA, and BA degrees, and did graduate studies in Computer Science.
