Introduction
Tealeaf Technology, Inc. (hereinafter "Tealeaf") respects each individual's right to personal privacy. We will collect and use information we receive directly from you through our Web site only in the ways disclosed in this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information we collect directly from you on the Tealeaf Web site www.Tealeaf.com (the "Web Site"). This policy does not apply to the practices of Tealeaf that Tealeaf does not own or control, or to individuals that Tealeaf does not employ or manage. By visiting the Web Site, you acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined in this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy does not govern or apply to Tealeaf’s products themselves, or any Tealeaf customers' use of Tealeaf software products to collect information.
Information Collection
Tealeaf collects the following information through the Web Site session data and information that you enter on the Web Site or provide to us in any other way. Individuals are free to change the personal information that Tealeaf has collected from them and to unsubscribe from any and all Tealeaf communications at any time by stating such preferences in an email to privacy@Tealeaf.com. The manner in which we collect this information is described below.
Session Data
We collect information on the pages you have visited and the contents of those pages, any information you input, your referring URL or IP address, your time of visit and related session information, your requested page, Web browser type, USR agent, status of request (successful reply), cookies, number of bytes in the response, and query string. We use this data to better understand Web site usage in the aggregate so that we know what areas of our Web site users prefer. This information is stored in log files and is used for aggregated and statistical reporting.
Cookies
Tealeaf employs cookies. Cookies are small text files placed on your computer by a Web site. Cookies enable Tealeaf to track usage patterns and deliver customized content to users. These cookies cannot read information from your hard drive. Tealeaf uses cookies to collect and store your User ID. The User ID is not personally identifiable to you. The information is only used to identify repeat visitors. Tealeaf also uses temporary session cookies to assign and store a Session ID to you so that you can move uninterrupted between areas of our Web Site. Tealeaf also uses the Session ID for internal reporting purposes. This Session ID is not personally identifiable to you and this type of cookie does not leave any retrievable information on your hard drive. The User ID does not have an expiration date. Session IDs expire when the browser is closed.
Most browsers have an option for turning off the cookie feature, which will prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, as well as (depending on the sophistication of your browser software) allowing you to decide on acceptance of each new cookie in a variety of ways. We recommend that you leave the cookies activated.
Registration and Questionnaires
For visitors interested in registering to download a document or participating in a marketing campaign offering, we ask that they register with us by supplying their name and basic contact information. Tealeaf verifies the email address conforms to standard email address requirements. Tealeaf may also ask you to provide information about:

- Phone Number
Mailing List
Tealeaf also has a voluntary mailing list where users can supply their email address to facilitate periodic communications from Tealeaf. Individuals that voluntarily register for the mailing list are automatically subscribed to the Tealeaf voluntary mailing list.
Transparent GIFs
We employ a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons), that help us better manage content and advertising on our site by informing us what is effective. Some of these files may be provided by our advertising management partners or advertisers. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. This information does not include personally identifiable information, and we do not tie the information gathered by clear gifs to your personal information without informing you in each particular instance. We may also use clear gifs in our HTML-based emails to let us know which emails have been opened by recipients. This allows us to gauge the effectiveness of certain communications and the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns, but you will always have the choice not to receive such emails.
Tealeaf does not actively market to children, and we never knowingly ask a child under 18 to divulge personal information.
Information Collection Purposes
The information we collect is used to improve the content of our Web page, to notify registered site visitors about news or updates with respect to our company and/or product.
Please let us know if you do not want to receive email from us in the future by sending an email to us at privacy@Tealeaf.com and telling us that you do not want to receive email from our company.
If you supply us with your postal address online, you may receive periodic mailings from us with information on new products and services or upcoming events. Please let us know if you do not wish to receive such mailings by sending an email to us at privacy@Tealeaf.com. Please provide us with your exact name and address. We will be sure your name is removed from the list.
Information Usage
The information collected by Tealeaf will be used for:
- Sales initiatives; and
- Marketing initiatives
Registered users and those who sign up to receive communications from us will receive a periodic Tealeaf company newsletter, and occasional email announcements regarding company activities.
Registered users will receive additional announcements from us about products, services, and a newsletter. Out of respect for the privacy of our users we present the option to not receive these types of communications.
We offer links to other Web sites. Please note that when you click on links to other Web sites, you are leaving the Tealeaf Web Site and may be subject to different rules, including, but not limited to, different privacy policies that may be less protective of your privacy. We encourage you to read the privacy policies that govern the Web sites you may link to from our Web Site.
Access to Information
Tealeaf maintains the accuracy of our information by requiring password registration to download Tealeaf product. Users may access their own personal information and contact us about inaccuracies they may find by emailing such request to privacy@Tealeaf.com. Users may delete their information from our database by emailing such request to privacy@Tealeaf.com.Third Parties
Tealeaf uses third parties to help us conduct our business, such as providing shipping services, hosting Web seminars, sending news headlines and providing database management. We will only give a third party your information for the purpose that you have specified, such as fulfilling an order or request. Whenever you do business with another company, including one you have clicked on from Tealeaf, you should read their privacy policy to ensure that they are protecting your personal information. Their standards may differ from ours.
Tealeaf may also store and disclose personal information as allowed or required by applicable law, including making disclosures that are necessary or advisable to: (a) protect the rights, safety or property of users of our web site, the public, or Tealeaf or our suppliers; and (b) conform to legal or regulatory requirements.
Business Transfers

Data Storage and Security
Tealeaf protects user information with by using a Privacy Filter, a configurable tool that causes selected information such as passwords, credit card numbers, and last name to be removed from the digital record.
We take reasonable steps to protect the data we collect from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. We do this by implementing industry standard security procedures for storing and accessing information. However, you should be aware that we cannot ensure that all of your private communications and other personally identifiable information will never be disclosed in ways not otherwise described in this Privacy Policy. By way of example (without limiting the foregoing), we may be forced to disclose information to the government or third parties under certain circumstances, third parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications, or users may abuse or misuse your information that they collect from our site.
