Forrester Research recently issued a February 2008 report "Customer Experience Spending Intensifies In 2008", authored by Megan Burns, Forrester senior analyst. The report highlights the fact that most large North American firms plan to boost spending on customer experience in 2008. In fact, Forrester recently surveyed 287 customer experience decision-makers from large US firms about their 2008 plans. Almost all — 91% — said customer experience will be either very important or critical to their 2008 efforts, demonstrating a movement by companies into the "next generation" of website optimization.
