London, UK – 29 June 2009 - Tealeaf, the leader in Customer Experience Management (CEM) software, has today announced that Hogenboom Vakantieparken, one of the Netherland's leading holiday resort provider, is using Tealeaf to help increase the number of bookings made on www.hogenboomvakantieparken.nl. With over 15,000 visitors per day, booking more than 600.000 guests per year, Hogenboom Vakantieparken has deployed Tealeaf to understand why customers abandon transactions and use this information to optimise customer experience by improving usability and increasing conversion rates.
Hogenboom Vakantieparken, which manages 7,000 lodgings in 120 resorts through the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and France, launched its first website in 2001 and added transactional capabilities three years later. Since, the popularity of the site has soared, with the number of online sales quadrupling to the point where they now account for 50% of the company's total revenue. Tealeaf will give Hogenboom Vakantieparken insights into the behaviour of these visitors, helping to streamline the transaction process and eliminate any errors.
Once deployed, Tealeaf captures and records every single visit to the site so that Hogenboom Vakantieparken can replay sessions page-by-page to identify errors. Tealeaf then archives this data, allowing the holiday provider to analyse the business impact of issues and prioritise those changes that will make the biggest difference to customers. This will allow the company to increase conversions through the website and remove obstacles that may push visitors to the more expensive call centre or even to a competitor.
"Our website is the most cost effective way for us to manage bookings," said Frank de Groot, director at Hogenboom Vakantieparken. 'Therefore it is vital to optimise the online customer experience in order to increase sales and turn our transactional call centre into a contact centre to focus on providing after-sales support to customers. This not only streamlines our internal operation, but makes the booking process easier for our customers. Tealeaf provides the level of visibility we need to be confident that our online channel is as effective as possible."
Martin Hucker, European Country Manager at Tealeaf, commented: "As ecommerce continues to grow, businesses need to ensure their websites are serving customers effectively. This is where Tealeaf comes into its own: providing real-time visibility and reporting so the business can drill down and identify areas for improvement, based on a deeper understand of actual visitor behaviour. Tealeaf will help Hogenboom Vakantieparken both convert more visitors and improve customer satisfaction levels as a result."
Tealeaf was founded in 1999 and since then has been gradually developing its customer experience suite of products. Tealeaf CX is the fulcrum of the company's solutions, capturing and recording what each and every website visitor does and sees. On top of this sits a range of customer behaviour analysis and customer service optimisation modules, aimed at gearing any ebusiness with everything its need to improve customer experiences. The company, with its head office in San Francisco, has over 300 customers worldwide and over 30 in the UK. where it launched in 2006. Hogenboom Vakantieparken is Tealeaf's second Dutch customer.
